The Nisei Week Foundation presents the 70th Annual Nisei Week Japanese Festival’s “Plaza Festival,” which will be held August 14-15 at the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center Plaza Court, 244 S. San Pedro Street in Los Angeles’ Little Tokyo district. The Plaza Festival will consist of a food court, merchandise and service alley, entertainment, and games. There’s fun, food and game for the entire family!
Returning after its initial debut from last year’s festival is Dogzilla – “not your typical wiener;” KDI Shaved Ice & Slush – “try the mango slush;” Gamma Epsilon Omega – USC Fraternity – returns with Okinawan Dangos. New this year is local Little Tokyo restaurant, Chin Ma Ya of Tokyo, serving kara-age chicken, tan tan men, chin ma han, and fried shrimp. Also new to Nisei Week 2010 is Kelley’s Kookies of Stanton – gourmet cookies.
