Napa to Hold Benefit for Iwanuma


NAPA — “From Napa to Iwanuma,” a fundraiser for Napa’s sister city in Japan, will be held on Sunday, March 27, from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Napa Valley Opera House, 1030 Main St.

In support for Iwanuma, Miyagi Prefecture, which was affected by the earthquake and tsunami, seven wineries will be pouring complimentary tastings, along with six restaurants providing tasty bites. A silent auction will feature everything from wine to spa gift certificates to a ukulele.

The performance will include Napa and Sonoma County Taiko, performances by the Vintage High School Choir and Silverado Ballet Troupe, guest speakers and a reading from playwright Philip Kan Gotanda.
