UC Irvine's Jodaiko will be among the performers at the 17th annual Intercollegiate Taiko Showcase concert at UCLA this weekend.
The 17th annual Intercollegiate Taiko Concert will take place Memorial Day weekend at UCLA Ackerman Grand Ballroom. Taiko groups from schools throughout the state will be playing at the event hosted by Kyodo Taiko and Yukai Daiko of UCLA.
Schools performing
Saturday, May 28: Yukai Daiko, Cal Poly Pomona Touzan Taiko, UC Davis Bakuhatsu Dan, USC Kazan Taiko, CSUN Jishin Taiko, UCR Senryu Taiko. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Show starts at 6 p.m.
Sunday, May 29: UCI Jodaiko, Cal Raijin, Stanford Taiko, UCSD Asayake Taiko, LMU Shin Kanazaru Daiko, Kyodo Taiko. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. Show starts at 4 p.m.
