JCCCNC to Celebrate 25th Anniversary of Opening Its Doors

SAN FRANCISCO — The Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California is hosting its annual fundraising event, “25th Anniversary of Opening Our Doors,” on Saturday, Sept. 24, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the JCCCNC, 1840 Sutter St. in San Francisco Japantown.

This year’s event will celebrate the vision and effort set forth by the Nisei and Sansei of the community who made the center a reality.

At the event, Hawaii’s own Side Street Inn will be the featured restaurant along with other award-winning Bay Area restaurants and chefs. Also taking place at the event will be the honoring of three current board members, Kaz Maniwa, Allen Okamoto and Yo Hironaka, who have served on the JCCCNC Board of Directors for over 25 years and have given unwavering dedication and support to the center and the community. There will also be live and silent auctions featuring items donated from Bay Area restaurants and businesses.

Ticket prices are $150 for reserved table seating and $50 for children 6-12 years old. Official invitations will be mailed mid August. Community table, corporate sponsorship and ad opportunities are available.
