TORRANCE — Torrance Public Library presents “Writing from the Heart,” a workshop by Traci Kato-Kiriyama, on Wednesday, Feb. 8, at 7 p.m. at the Katy Geissert Civic Center Library, 3301 Torrance Blvd., Torrance.
Sometimes we need to express how we feel in words, yet articulating our feelings can be one of the most challenging things we do. We often need to choose our words carefully to convey not only the proper meaning, but the proper tone. Writing from the heart can help us to communicate our most genuine feelings that can sometimes be difficult to say out loud.
Kato-Kiriyama, a multi-disciplinary artist, arts educator, community organizer, actor, and author of a book of poetry, “signaling,” will help develop your skills and provide exercises and tools to better convey your emotions effectively through words.
This event is free. Seating is limited and on first-come, first-served basis.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Library and City of Torrance Community Services Department.
