East West Players held its annual awards gala and silent auction on Monday, to celebrate the achievements of Asian Americans in the performing arts and to raise funds for their community and theater programs. The EWP Visionary Award recipients this year were jazz fusion pioneers Hiroshima, drumming ensemble TaikoProject and fashion businesswoman Kimora Lee Simmons.
