Founded in 1981, Cold Tofu has performed all over Southern California as well as in San Jose, Seattle, Houston, New York and Washington, D.C. (at the Smithsonian). Sharing the thrill of doing improv and sketch while training up-and-coming artists, the group has taught workshops at such campuses as USC, UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside, Pomona College, and University of Washington.
Under the leadership of Artistic Director Helen H. Ota and the core cast members, Cold Tofu has grown close to 30 members who perform improv shows regularly in Little Tokyo and at various events for community organizations.
