Yukiko Matsuyama will be performing with the Koto Yuki Band on Sunday, Sept. 20, at the University of La Verne, Ann and Morgan Auditorium, 1950 Third St., La Verne. Featuring Mike Penny on shamisen. Born in Osaka, Matsuyama moved to Los Angeles in 1993 began composing original music, blending the traditional sound of the koto with Western music. Suggested donation: $20.
