March 6 —Playwright Ken Narasaki will talk about his play adapted from the novel “NO-NO BOY” by John Okada on Saturday, March 6 at Merit Park Recreation Hall, 58 Merit Park Drive, Gardena at 2 p.m.
Set in 1946 Seattle, the play follows a Japanese American draft resister after he is released from prison and struggles to come to terms with the consequences of his choices, while the rest of the community tries to get back on its feet after a war that has uprooted them all. The world premiere of “NO-NO BOY” will be at Miles Memorial Playhouse, 1130
