April 14 — Metro will hold two community meetings this Wednesday at the Japanese American National Museum, 369 E. First St., Little Tokyo, to provide an update on the Regional Connector Transit Corridor project. The meetings will take place on April 14 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. A meeting will be also held on Saturday, April 17 at the Los Angeles Theater Center, 514 S Spring St, Los Angeles from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The meeting will consist of an open house as well as a presentation highlighting the features of the new fully underground build alternative, the benefits of the various alternatives studied and an updated schedule for completion and review of the Draft EIS/EIR. The fully underground alternative was approved for further study by the Metro Board of Directors in February.
Among the updates, Metro staff will report on the environmental impact and new ridership estimates for the connector. The Metro board will decide on a preferred alternative in the fall.
