LTSC to Offer E-Commerce Workshop

Have you ever thought about doing business on the Internet? Get a head start on 2007 by gaining some knowledge now about doing business on-line. With more and more people around the world using the internet to conduct business, buy and sell goods and services, compare prices, obtain information and communicate, the Little Tokyo Service Center (LTSC) will offer a two-part workshop called “E-Commerce and How to Market Your Business on the Internet.”

Who is the workshop for?
This workshop is for people who are considering doing business over the Internet, as well as for people who are already doing business on the Internet, but want to know how to market their web site.

What topics will be covered?
Introduction to the internet, basics of website design, having a website and the fees involved how to drive more business to your site, pros and cons of doing business on the web.

What are the requirements?
All attendees should be comfortable sending and receiving e-mail messages, and know how to go on-line.

Who will teach the workshop?
This two-part E-Commerce workshop will be conducted in English and taught by Monica Peralta, who has taught this workshop for LTSC twice before, and received high praise from the attendees. She has experience designing web sites, and she also conducts business on the Internet as well. Peralta has a lot of knowledge on this topic and can share interesting stories about her experiences. She will also share what TO DO and what NOT TO DO as you go through the process of deciding to conduct business on-line.

How much will the E-Commerce class cost?
The two-part e-commerce workshop is being offered free of charge.

Who is sponsoring the workshop?
This workshop is being sponsored by the Little Tokyo Service Center, the Asian Pacific Islander Small Business Program, and the Small Business Administration.

When and where is the workshop?
 This two-part workshop will be held over two consecutive Thursdays – Nov. 30 and Dec. 7. Both sessions will be held at the Little Tokyo Service Center, 231 E. Third St., Los Angeles, CA90013. Both sessions will start at 6:30 p.m. and end at 9:30 p.m. Parking will be offered inside the LTSC garage, free of charge. Details regarding parking will be given at the time of registration.
