Eva Miyoko Nakanishi, 88, of Los Angeles and Irvine, passed away on Sept. 4. A private funeral was held at Hompa Hongwanji on Sept. 10, with burial at Rose Hills. Born in Kenilworth, Utah, she spent her childhood in Hiroshima before returning to the U.S. Married for 59 years to her late husband, Tsugio. She excelled in many Japanese art and music traditions. She leaves her two sons, Dr. Mike (Margaret) and Dr. Don (Marsha); grandchildren, Stacey (Robin) Kang, Denise, Scott, Ryan, and Thomas; and great grandchildren, Todd, Ashley, and Nathan; older sister, Toshie Kishimoto; and many relatives in Hiroshima.
