Funeral service for Fujito Sonny Shohara, 90, a Clovis, Calif.-born Nisei and veteran of WWII Military Intelligence Service, recipient of the Congressional Gold Medal, who passed away on Dec. 9 at his residence, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 22, at Centenary United Methodist Church, 300 S. He is survived by his wife, Hisako; daughters, Jane (Terry) Matsumoto, Susan (Dr. Michael) Wall of Honolulu and Ellen (Ken) Minami; predeceased brother, James; grandchildren, Tracy and Steven Wall, Kate and Todd Matsumoto and Elise and Michele Minami; nephews, nieces and other relatives here and in Japan.
