The 11th National JACL Singles Convention is less than two months away.  It will be held Oct. 27-29 at the Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas. “Early bird” registration ends on Oct. 5 and the prices go up after that. Go to the website http://www.mwt.com/jaclsingles for details about this convention. You do not have to be a member of JACL to attend this convention.

Convention organizers also announced that the golf tournament has been cancelled. However, they will be able to book tee times for golfers for Friday morning Oct. 27 and on Sunday, Oct. 29. If you are planning to golf, e-mail Yas Tokita at yas@mwt.com or call him at (702) 866-2345.

A Nisei Charter bus has been booked for the convention from L.A. to the Plaza Hotel. It will operate on the regular Nisei Charter route with pickups at Little Tokyo, the New Gardena Hotel and at the Hampton Inn in Orange County.
