8/10 — Kimono Show at Little Tokyo Library

Aug. 10 — The Little Tokyo Branch Library, 203 S. Los Angeles St., Los Angeles, will be hosting a presentation on kimono fashion and design on Saturday, Aug. 10 from 1 to 4 p.m. At 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. demonstrations of classic kimono obi tying, a tango & hip-hop dance showcase, and even some Japanese folktale sharing will take place. At 12 p.m. and 2 p.m., Dr. Hoda Meisamy will share her knowledge of the medicinal origins of Japanese textile design.
