Masayuki “Mas” Nakamura

A private memorial service for the late Mr. Masayuki “Mas” Nakamura, who passed away on Sept. 17, 2015, was held at Rose Hills Memorial Park.

He was a 90-year-old, Reedley, Calif.-born Nisei resident of Alhambra and former internee of Poston Relocation Camp during WWII who volunteered and honorably served in the U.S. Army 442nd “Go For Broke” RCT.

Mas was predeceased by his beloved wife of 59 years, Irene Noriko Nakamura. He is survived by his children, Donna Lynn (Frank) Aleman and Keith Douglas (Nancy) Nakamura; grandchildren, Matthew (Tracy) and Gregory Nakamura; siblings, Sonoye Nakagiri, Hankus Nagata, and James (Aggie) Nakamura. Also survived by many other relatives.
