Shizuko Kurashima, 77, born in Tokyo, Japan and a resident of Gardena for the past 42 years, passed away on July 22, 2013 in Torrance. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Green Hills Memorial Park, 27501 S. Western Ave., Rancho Palos Verdes, with Rev. Nobuo Miyaji from Gardena Buddhist Church officiating.
