April 23 — The Thousand Hearts Benefit Concert for disaster relief in Japan will take place on Saturday, April 23, at 7 p.m. at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, 300 E. Green St., Pasadena. Performers will include the Grammy-nominated band Hiroshima, whose latest album is “Legacy”; and Quest Crew from MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew.
Thousand Hearts is coordinated through JETAP (Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami Aid Project), a statewide grassroots effort that includes bar and other professional associations, community organizations, and teachers and students. Funds from the concert and other JETAP projects will be distributed to Japan through direct aid, including the fund established by Riverside, the sister city of Sendai.
