Toshio Hisamune

Mr. Toshio Hisamune, CPA, 89, Seattle, Wash.-born Nisei, resident of Monterey Park, passed away peacefully at his residence on Nov. 26, 2015.
In 1932 the Hisamune family moved to Boyle Heights, Calif. During WWII, he was interned at the following relocation camps: Manzanar, Tule Lake, Bismark and Santa Fe. In 1950, he enlisted in the U.S. Army.
He graduated in 1957 from Cal State Los Angeles, where he played varsity tennis. He was a partner at a large CPA firm, Lee, Sperling, and Hisamune.
He won numerous golf tournaments and was a low handicap golfer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tatsuko, and is survived by his brother, Masaru (Catherine) Hisamune, and many nieces, nephews.
Private family funeral services were held on Thursday, December 10, at Calvary Cemetery with Fr. Brian Delaney officiating.
