If you’re like me, you’ll be hitting the pavement this weekend for the Disneyland Half Marathon, a 13.1 mile race through the theme parks and on the streets of Anaheim. The race starts at 6 a.m. on Sunday on a flat course that winds through both Disneyland and California Adventure. I’ve done it a couple times and to me, one of the highlights is seeing yourself on the jumbotron at Angel Stadium, close to the 10 mile mark. Last year, Shin Nozaki, 36, of Utah finished the race in sixth place with a time of 1 hour 14 seconds. On the women’s side, Lisa Yokoyama, 39, of Huntington Beach was in the top 25 with a time of 1 hour 34 seconds. I’m definitely no speedster, just hoping to survive out there and finish.
