Kids Crowned at Nisei Week Baby Show

The Nisei Week Baby Show was moved indoors for 2010, after sweltering summer temperatures of the past few years proved a bit too uncomfortable for some who attended the event.

This year’s edition took place in the comfort of the Centenary United Methodist Church in Little Tokyo, with dozens of kids, divided into three age categories: Tiny Tots, age 1 year to 23 months; Romper Stompers, 2 to 3 years; and Jet Setters, 4 years to 6 years and 1 month.

The kids selected as prince and princess in each age category received a crown, trophy, sash and special prizes. The winners will also participate in various official 2010 Nisei Week events, including the Nisei Week Parade to be held on Sunday, Aug. 15.

The 2010 winners were, by age group:
