Members of the Japanese American Korean War Veterans were among the veterans to join in a procession on Nov. 13 at the 9th annual Evening of Aloha, sponsored by the Go For Broke National Educational Center at the Hilton Anaheim. More than 850 attended the event which paid tribute to the organization’s founders, including former president and CEO Christine Sato Yamazaki, shown receiving a commendation from Councilmember Jan Perry. Entertainment was provided the Kanani Kalama Hula Studio and Jake Shimabukuro, who performed “Go For Broke,” in a special video presentation.
