WEST HOLLYWOOD — The Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment (CAPE) will hold a Japan relief fundraiser, sponsored by Verizon, on Wednesday, March 23, from 6:30 to 11 p.m. at The Factory, 652 N. La Peer Dr., West Hollywood.
In an urgent effort to aid the people affected by the tragedy in Japan , CAPE is diverting all of its resources to host this event. All of the proceeds will go to the Los Angeles Chapter of the American Red Cross. Admission is $25, cash or check. Make checks payable to the American Red Cross and write “Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Fund” on the memo line.
Scheduled to appear are George Takei (“Star Trek”), acoustic/indie rock group Oak & Gorski, Alec Mapa (“Ugly Betty”), YouTube artists Dawen and Paul Dateh, Kelly Hu (“X2”), Harry Shum Jr. (“Glee”), Grammy winner Tia Carrere, James Kyson Lee (“Heroes”), Wilson Cruz (“The People I’ve Slept With”) and Leonardo Nam (“American Pastime”).
There will be free food and drinks, and a chance giveaway for a round trip to Hawaii.
