GARDENA — Gardena Valley Baptist Church is collecting donations in response to the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan.
GVBC took offering for the first two weeks of relief effort (until March 20) and directed it to World Vision, which was already in Sendai and responding to the most urgent needs there.
Since then, the church has shifted its offering to the Japanese Baptist Union, which directly supports the local church communities in their relief efforts.
Send donations to the church office, 1630 W. 158th St., Gardena, CA 90247, or put it into the offering bag during Sunday worship service (traditional service at 8:45 a.m., contemporary service at 10:45 a.m.). Make all checks payable to “GVBC” with the word “Japan” in the memo line.
For more information on the church, call (310) 323-5683 or visit www.gvbc.net.
