‘Thousand Hearts’ Benefit Concert in Pasadena

PASADENA — The Thousand Hearts Benefit Concert for disaster relief in northeastern Japan will take place on Saturday, April 23, at 7 p.m. at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, 300 E. Green St., Pasadena.

Performers will include the Grammy-nominated band Hiroshima, whose latest album is “Legacy”; and Quest Crew from MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew.”

There will be special appearances by:

Briana Evigan (“Step Up 2: The Streets,” “Sorority Row”)

Mark Dacascos (“Iron Chef America,” “Hawaii Five-0”)

Lou Diamond Phillips (“Stargate Universe,” “Numb3rs”)

Jamie Chung (“Sucker Punch,” “Samurai Girl”)

Rumer Willis (“90210,” “Sorority Row”)

Julia Ling (“Chuck,” “ER”)

Thousand Hearts is coordinated through JETAP (Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami Aid Project), a statewide grassroots effort that includes bar and other professional associations, community organizations, and teachers and students. Funds from the concert and other JETAP projects will be distributed to Japan through direct aid, including the fund established by Riverside, the sister city of Sendai.
