SEBASTOPOL — Enmanji Buddhist Temple and the Sonoma County Japanese American Citizen’s League will host a “Benefit for Japan” on Saturday, April 23, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Enmanji’s Memorial Hall, 1200 Gravenstein Hwy. South in Sebastopol.
Dinner will be provided through the generosity of Art Ibleto, “the Pasta King.” There is no set price for the dinner. Donations, which are tax-deductible, will be accepted at the door. Make checks payable to Enmanji Buddhist Temple.
There will also be live music, a silent auction, and a bake sale.
All donations collected will be forwarded to appropriate aid organizations through the Buddhist Churches of America and Direct Relief International to help the victims of the earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster in northern Japan.
If you wish to help at this event, contact Michael Bryant of the JACL at (707) 953-9058 or Rev. Carol Himaka of Enmanji at (707) 823-2252. Additional silent auction items and baked goods are needed.
