TORRANCE — A charity bazaar for the northern Japan earthquake/tsunami victims will be held on Sunday, April 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center, 3350 Civic Center Dr., Torrance.
Funds raised from booth sales will be donated directly to the Japan Red Cross through the Consulate General of Japan. There will be food booths, music on the outdoor stage, and a gift bazaar, where attendees can bring items to sell and/or buy. Here are some details on how you can participate:
• Items to be sold should be new, not used. The event is unable to accept large items, such as furniture.
• You may drop off items on the day of the event between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.
• If you want to set up a booth of your own, you can bring your items on the day of the event and/or reserve a booth by emailing [email protected].
To make a monetary donation, make a check payable to “Consulate General of Japan” with a notation that it is for “Japan Earthquake Relief.” Mail the check to: Bridge USA, Attn: Charity Event, 1467 W. 178th St., Suite 302, Gardena, CA 90248.
