‘Reach Across the Pacific’: Youth Music for Japan Relief

BERKELEY — “Reach Across the Pacific” will be held Sunday, June 12, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Starry Plough Pub, 3101 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley.

Bay Area bands will gather to raise money for an important cause: the Japan Multicultural Relief Fund (www.jprn.org/relief).

Ranging in age from 13 to 25, these musicians are a very diverse lot — indie rock, jazz/psychedelic rock, and folk. “Their cover tunes and originals will inspire you. Come have a blast with young, upcoming musicians while helping those in need,” event organizers said.

The lineup is as follows:

Dear Indugu (http://www.DearIndugu.com/)

The Bayonettes (http://www.facebook.com/Bayonettes)

Comodo Complex (http://www.myspace.com/ComodoComplex)

Brave Ulysses (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Brave-Ulysses/144993195571133)

Marta Alvarez will also be featured.

This show is open to all ages and tickets are $10-$20, sliding scale.
