BCSF’s Ginza Bazaar This Weekend

SAN FRANCISCO — Buddhist Church of San Francisco’s annual Ginza Bazaar takes place Saturday and Sunday, July 23-24.

The bazaar offers two days of games, entertainment, Japanese food, shopping, camaraderie and more. Traditional Bon dancing will be held on Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.

Sample unique Japanese delicacies, including special chicken teriyaki, sushi, and Daruma dogs.

Join in Bon dancing with friendly dancers eager to show you the steps.

Enjoy taiko drumming, ukulele, kendo, tea ceremony and calligraphy.

Join in playing carnival games and bingo.

Take home handicrafts from the boutique, Asian American books or a treasure from the silent auction.

Saturday, July 23

1 p.m.  Ukulele by Derek Chang at Stuart Hall

1:30 p.m.  Kendo by David Nakanishi at BCSF Gym

2 p.m.  Calligraphy by Nosuke Akiyama at Stuart Hall

3 p.m.  Tea ceremony by Soko Kobara at Stuart Hall

2 p.m. BCSF Taiko Group
