Broadway Benefit for EWP


East West Players, the nation’s premier Asian American theater company, will present “One Night Only,” its annual benefit performance, on Saturday, Aug. 20, at EWP, 120 Judge John Aiso St. in Little Tokyo.

This year’s theme is “On Broadway,” and the cast is made up of talented Asian American actors, singers and dancers who have appeared in major musicals. Traditionally cast in Asian-themed shows such as “Pacific Overtures,” “Miss Saigon” and “Flower Drum Song,” they have also shown that they can take on any role in any show.

Come and enjoy dynamic performances and support EWP’s artistic and educational programs. The performers, who span the generations, will include:

Catered dinner in the courtyard begins at 6 p.m., the show in the David Henry Hwang Theater at 7:30 p.m., and dessert under the stars at 9 p.m.
