Continuing its efforts to communicate directly with its members and supporters, the Japanese American National Museum announced it is holding two members’ appreciation/outreach events this fall at the Southeast Japanese School and Community Center in Norwalk on Sunday, Oct. 2, from 2 to 4 p.m., and at the Toyota USA Automobile Museum in Torrance on Monday, Oct. 17, from 1 to 3 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public.
For the last three years, JANM has been organizing events around the Southland, making it easier for its members and supporters to hear updates directly from museum staff. The events also enable the museum to provide small gifts to its members as a thank you for their support. This year, the museum decided to open the events to anyone who is interested in attending.
The Southeast Japanese School and Community Center is located at 14615 S. Gridley Rd. in Norwalk, and the Toyota USA Automobile Museum is part of the ProLogis Business Park at 19600 Van Ness Ave. in Torrance. There will be external signage outside the main entrance to the event.
Both events will feature remarks by JANM Founding President Bruce Kaji, updates on future projects and light refreshments.
Anyone wishing to attend should RSVP by calling (213) 830-5648 or the museum at (213) 625-0414.
