Grandparents, parents and kids participated in Target Free Family Saturday on July 14 at the Japanese American National Museum in Little Tokyo. Activities included decorating travel bags and travel journals.
At the Kidding Around the Kitchen table, children used fresh fruit to create “citrus sunshine faces.”
At the Party Faces table, a girl checks out her face tattoo of a clownfish from “Finding Nemo,” which goes with the Tinkerbell tat on her arm. The next family event at JANM will be the Japanese American Olympics on Saturday, coinciding with the Tanabata Festival and the Nisei Week Japanese Festival. Info: www.janm.org.
