SAN FRANCISCO — The Consulate General of Japan in San Francisco will present “J, Robot,” a documentary about humanoid robots in Japan, during the 46th annual Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival on Sunday, April 14, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and 2:45 to 4:15 p.m. at the Japanese Cultural and Community Center of Northern California, 1840 Sutter St. in Japantown.
“J, Robot” takes a peek into the Japanese culture to understand why the Japanese are going beyond any others to promote robotic development. The film is in Japanese with English subtitles. Following each showing there will be a Q&A with the director, Michael Garrigues.
The event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.
