SACRAMENTO – Gov. Jerry Brown on June 26 announced the reappointment of Elaine Yamaguchi, 48, of Woodland to the 40th District Agricultural Association, Yolo County Fair Board, where she has served since 2011.
Yamaguchi has been a legislative analyst at the California Public Employees Retirement System since 2007. She was the director of the California State Library’s California Civil Liberties Public Education Program from 2005 to 2006.
She served as special assistant in the Office of the California State Assembly Speaker from 1998 to 2005 and held multiple positions at the National Asian American Telecommunications Association (now known as the Center for Asian American Media) in San Francisco from 1993 to 1997, including managing director.
This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Yamaguchi is a Democrat.
