SAN FRANCISCO — Join the Japanese Community Youth Council on Saturday, Sept. 20, at scenic Crissy Field in San Francisco for the fourth annual SF Aloha Run — a fun 5k, Keiki Run (6-13 years) and Tot Trot (2-5 years).
With the Golden Gate Bridge as the backdrop, runners/walkers of all abilities will enjoy Hawaiian music, entertainment, keiki’s (children’s) activities and tasty aloha treats.
The 5K course begins at 8:30 a.m. on the north side of Crissy Field, proceeds toward the Golden Gate Bridge, loops onto Mason Street, turns at the Crissy Field Center for the last mile down the Golden Gate Promenade, and ends on the south side of Crissy Field.
Prizes will be given for top male adult, top female adult, top male keiki, top female keiki, most aloha spirit (open to creative interpretation, so have fun with it), and top 5K fundraiser (to be announced after all donations are collected by Oct. 15).
All runners/walkers will receive an SF Aloha Run T-shirt and goodies from the sponsors. Beverages and Hawaiian-style snacks will be provided at the Post-Aloha Run Celebration at Crissy Field.
Bring the entire family, including your canine buddy, for this fun and healthy event, which will include special activities for younger athletes and doggie treats for your four-legged companion.
Fees: $35 for adults, $15 for youth, $10 for pets. To register, visit www.sfaloharun.org.
Proceeds will support children and youth services of JCYC, a §501(c)(3) non-profit community organization. For more info about JCYC, go to www.jcyc.org.
