WASHINGTON — Alice Lin has been selected as a 2015-2016 JACL Mike M. Masaoka Congressional Fellow.
Lin has been placed in the Washington, D.C. office of Rep. Mike Honda (D-Santa Clara) and began her fellowship in September.
Lin grew up in San Jose and graduated with a B.A. in economics from UC Berkeley, where she competed in national parliamentary debate and participated in campus activism around higher education. She worked to elect Rep. Ami Bera (D-Sacramento) in 2012 and interned at the National Education Association, where she worked on immigration reform advocacy. As an intern for SEIU Local 1021 in San Francisco, Lin conducted research for 1021’s Nonprofit Justice Campaign.
After interning in both Honda’s district and D.C. offices, she is excited to join his legislative team as a Masaoka fellow.
