The Big Trouble in Little Tokyo film series will present “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift” (2006) on Thursday, Feb. 4, at 7 p.m. at the Japanese American National Museum, 100 N. Central Ave. in Little Tokyo.

The screening marks the10th anniversary screening of the third film in the blockbuster “Fast and Furious” franchise.

A bit of an outlier in the series, “Tokyo Drift” follows a different set of characters from the previous films. High school student Sean Boswell (Lucas Black), who has a penchant for street racing, is sent to live with his father in Tokyo. He quickly gets involved with a local gang of racers, who practice a unique style of “drift racing.” To fit in and prove himself, Sean must master the new style and defeat the leader of the gang.

The cast includes Sung Kang (who appeared in the next four “Fast and Furious” films), Nathalie Kelley, Bow Wow, Brian Tee, Leonardo Nam, and Sonny Chiba, with a cameo by Vin Diesel.

Panel discussion to follow with director Justin Lin, who is currently directing “Star Trek: Beyond,” and other film personnel TBA.
