takano-flintRep. Mark Takano (D-Riverside) joined 16 other members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus on a trip to Flint, Mich., on March 4 to hear from families suffering from the city’s water crisis. “We came from every region of the country because we believe no one is on their own in America,” said Takano, who is a vice chair of the caucus. “We come together for mutual aid in times of crisis. That is what it means to be part of a union called the United States of America. After hearing heartbreaking stories from the people of Flint, my hope is that we can protect communities across the country from a similar tragedy.”
