2/27 — Kotoist Yukiko Matsuyama in Concert

Feb. 27 —Join us to celebrate the release of Crème Brulée, the new CD from Yukiko Matsuyama and the Koto Yuki Band at the Remo Recreational Music Center, 7308 Coldwater Canyon North Hollywood, CA 91605. It’s a joyful blend of Smooth Jazz, New Age & World Music that will excite & delight!

A native of Osaka, Japan, Yukiko plays the Japanese Koto.  Although classically trained, the music she enjoys playing these days is a wonderful mix of East meets West cultures. It’s definitely not what comes to mind when
one imagines traditional Koto music.

The band features Diana Dentino on keys, Vince VanTrigt on bass, Voyce McGinley III – drums & percussion with Special Guests: Leon Mobley –percussion, & Greg Vail – sax & flute.

Rev. Tom Kurai and the Taiko Center of Los Angeles will open the show. Tickets: $15 advance/$18 at the door. For information, call (760) 576-KOTO or visit www.kotoyuki.com.
