7/9 — Dodgers Japanese Heritage Day

July 9 — Dodgers play host to the San  Diego Padres on Japanese Heritage Day. The game will be a daytime affair, a change from the night games of past JA heritage events.

Pre-game festivities are scheduled to start at around 12:30 p.m. and include: Daion Taiko of Orange County; introductions of the Consul General of Japan and the 2010 Nisei Week Queen and Court; actress and former Nisei Week Queen Tamlyn Tomita throwing out the ceremonial first pitch; former Nisei Week Queen Lauren Kinkade-Wong performing the national anthem and “God Bless America” during the seventh inning stretch. The Nisei Week group will be sitting on the field level in Section 45, so feel free to come by and say “hello.”
