Funeral services for the late Mr. Buddy Takata, an 86-year-old, San Jose, Calif.-born Nisei resident of Hawthorne and former internee of Heart Mountain Relocation Camp during WWII who passed away peacefully on April 30, 2015, will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 12 p.m. at Union Church of Los Angeles, 401 E. 3rd St., Los Angeles, CA 90013.
Mr. Takata was predeceased by his siblings Robert and June Takata. He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Grace Kayko Takata; children Janet M., Valerie Tomi (Victor) and Kenneth (Karina) Takata; grandchildren Kyle and Alexander Takata; siblings Bes Nakamura, Mary Ando, Thomas Takata and May Takata; Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
