Family service for the late Mrs. Chiyeko Nakano Kawaguchi, a 98-year-old, San Jose, Calif.-born Kibei-Nisei resident of Culver City and former internee of Amache Relocation Camp who passed away on April 5 was held privately at Fukui Mortuary “Chapel in the Garden,” officiated by Rimban Hiroshi Abiko of Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple.
Mrs. Kawaguchi was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ted Kawaguchi, and her daughter, Hisako Narasaki. She is survived by her son, Hiro (Nancy) Ota; daughters Yo Nakagawa and Nancy (Tak) Hamada. Grandmother of 8; great-grandmother of 14. Sister of Seibo (Ayako) Nakano. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives here and in Japan.
