Private family funeral service for Chiyoko Oshima, 94-year-old, San Diego-born resident of Los Angeles who passed away on Nov. 27, 2012 at St. Vincent Medical Center, was held on Friday, Dec. 7, at Oakdale Memorial Park, graveside with a minister from Higashi Honganji Buddhist Temple officiating.
She is survived by her daughters, Mary Morishita, Jane (Francis) Nakano, Mitzie (Gary) Makiyama and Shirley (James) Oshima-Bigbee; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Tom Honda; many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
