Kazuo Michihara, 101-year-old Carson Calif.-resident, passed away peacefully at home on April 2, 2017.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Harue Michihara; parents, Sengoro and Hanami; great-grandparents, Kotaro and Tono.
He is survived by sons Raymond Michihara, Richard (Corinne) Michihara; daughters Florence Hayashi, Faith (Henry) Yamano; grandchildren Keith (Karen) Yamano, Stefanie Michihara; and great-grandchildren Kyle and Kane Yamano.
He will be remembered as a soft-spoken, kind, caring, hard-working, religious, dedicated family provider who will be missed by his family and friends.
No funeral service. Private nokotsu do and shiki was officiated by Rimban William Briones and Reverend George Matsubayashi at the Los Angeles Hompa Hongwanji Buddhist Temple on Saturday, July 22, 2017.
