Melvin “Mel” Toyofuku

Private memorial services for the late Melvin “Mel” Toyofuku, 80-year-old Pu’unene, Hawaii-born Sansei, U.S. Air Force Veteran who passed away peacefully on May 11, 2018, were held on June 5, 2018 at Fukui Mortuary “Chapel in the Garden,” with Rev. Clifford Ishigaki officiating.

He is survived by his loving family: wife, Millie Toyofuku; children, Craig (Patricia) Toyofuku, Audrey (James) Mito of Texas, Diane (Alan) Takeda; grandchildren, Anderson and Logan Toyofuku, Ethan Mito, Ryan, Samantha and Alexssa Takeda; siblings, Jean Fukumitsu of Hawaii, Charlotte (Steven) Nakao, Hazel (Jay) Tanaka of Illinois, and Ronald (Trinh) Toyofuku of Hawaii; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
