Watanabe, Mitsuko, 84, born in Okayama-Ken, Japan, peacefully passed away on Sept. 29. Beloved mother of Edward (Cory S.) Watanabe; grandmother of Taylor T. and Hayley N. Watanabe; sister of Tom (Alice) and Masashi (Grace) Miyaoka, Yoshiko (George) Nishikawa, Miyoko (Sam) Owada, and Kuniko Miyaoka of Japan; also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A private memorial service was held on Monday, Oct. 5, at Ivy Chapel of Evergreen Cemetery with Rev. Masaaki Shiraiwa from Union Church of Los Angeles officiating.
In lieu of the customary monetary gifts and flowers, a donation to Keiro Nursing Home in Mitsuko Watanabe’s name will be deeply appreciated.
