Graveside service for the late Miwako Nishizu, 89-year old resident of Buena Park, who passed away at home surrounded by family on July 4, was held privately at Westminster Memorial Park. She is survived by her husband of nearly 61 years, Henry Hatsuo, her daughters, Donna McFarland, Elaine Nishizu and Eileen (Chris) Rodenhizer and her grandchildren, Allison and Trentin McFarland, Paris Nelson and Milan Rodenhizer. She is also survived by her brother, Shigeki Marumoto, nephews Alan and Glenn (Cris) Marumoto, niece Karen (Dana) Kong, and grandnephew, Sam Marumoto. Miwako was predeceased by her brother, Kazuharu Marumoto. The family respectfully requests no koden, gifts or flowers. For those who wish, a donation may be made to Keiro Nursing Home in tribute to her legacy of caregiving and volunteerism.
