Takuo Miyagishima

March 15, 1928 to Aug. 4, 2011
Loving husband, father, and grandfather, Takuo “Tak” Miyagishima was born in Gardena on March 15, 1928, to Tamekichi and Mura Miyagishima. He was raised for a short time in Long Beach and then on Terminal Island. His family moved to Utah at the start of World War II, then back to Los Angeles at the end of the conflict. After serving in the U.S. Army for two years in Fort Bliss, Texas, Tak Miyagishima began a long and successful career at Panavision, Inc. Though retired from the company, he continued to assist and consult several days a week throughout the rest of his life.
Tak Miyagishima is survived by his wife, Yoshie; his sons, Daryl, Bryan, and Paul and their spouses; and lastly, his grandsons who were his pride and joy, Nathan, Miles, and Matthew.
